It’s designed with eco-friendly elements, including solar heating, rainwater collection, and a green roof, making it as much a lesson in sustainability as science.

Inside, the museum offers eleven permanent exhibit halls. Visitors can explore topics like fossils and paleontology in the Life Then and Now hall, weather and geology in the Dynamic Earth hall, and outer space in the Expanding Universe exhibit. Other highlights include a hands-on engineering and robotics zone, the Gems and Minerals hall with dazzling crystals and stones, and the Being Human exhibit focused on biology and the human body. For families with younger children, the Moody Family Children’s Museum includes a miniature city and interactive water features.

The museum is typically open from 10 AM to 5 PM most days, opening at 11 AM on Sundays and remaining closed on Tuesdays. General admission is around twenty-five dollars for adults and fifteen for children, with additional charges for special exhibits or theater experiences. Visitors often spend two to four hours at the museum, enjoying both the exhibits and amenities like the Wolfgang Puck café and museum store. The facility is fully accessible, with accommodations for all ages and abilities. Let me know if you'd like help planning a visit or combining this with other Dallas attractions.
